I think the impetus required by IV will take time. Just 2 years ago, most of us got EADs/APs for themselves. It'll take time for the frustration to build up in those people who missed the boat. Their numbers are not many. It'll be a while before their numbers grow and they demand some kind of similar action from the US government.

So AC21 and visa recapture happened without anyone trying for it.
They increased quota of H1B, did AC21 because it was a market demand.
Now the economy is down, there are elections, jobless rate is high............ so think why will they increase h1B quota or greencard quota? What is the incentive for government?
I have always held that asking for quota increase is a bad idea and will not happen.
Visa recapture is the best bet and even that appears to be a hassle as there are many factions opposing it.

Applied for AP - Aug.16 with NSC
The funny thing is,that as with EAD card,in a day after I subscribed for e-mail update with USCIS they send me e-mail that my AP and family members have been mailed.
LUD on AP Jan 23. AP on hand Jan.28.

Could you explain this point. Why would lesser number of FB visas be issued in a bad economy ?
Does economy state has any relation to FB visas ?
For pre-adjudication, visa availability or the chances of PD becoming current is not necessary. They can pre-adjudicate based on receipt date.
My guess:
Probably they are processing all employment based applications right away so that they can prepare for CIR 2009. I guess Obama will take CIR this year itself as he has a very high approval rating and lot of goodwill now.

Here in NJ(at least in Somerville), they ask for H1B approval notice. No need to have the visa stamped on passport.

Guys,
My AP received date if Oct 31, 2007 and I called NSC 10 days back and requested expedited processing due to my dad's illness (Lung cancer). The lady IO was nice and she initiated the process and while on the phone she was typing the required info on their system. Finally she gave me a WTC number and told me to go to local DO if I didn't get the AP within 10 days!
I was so happy!! Following the phone I saw soft LUD on my AP case for 3 days and then stopped. Nothing happened!! I've made an Infopass appointment for local Boston office USCIS and will see what happens!!!!
Anybody got a WTC number?

What is the visa or immigration status of a person who has H4 visa and 485 pending (has EAD also)?
It seems banks do not understand anything other than Citizenship, GC or H status.

(3) You have a horse's ass for a lender. Just go to another bank. Countrywide is quite good, in my opinion. Go directly to them, not through a broker.

First of all why do U wanna ask that? Its an employment based visa that ur GC is based on. So, ur employer shud ask that. Why are u asking IVans to do something which is not in their control??? I keep getting red and dont mind if I'm banned. But excuse me...u r misleading IVans. My point is this. We can protest, rally based on the delay. Thats pretty much we can do. I feel IV actions are hurting EB3-I more than any one. It just my feeling. I contribited close to $500 and my time.
