Hi,
I just wanted to find out if anybody received email feedback from USCIS once they opened SR with USCIS? Do they even provide any feedback on SR???
I created the SR to check the status of my AP on Jan 8th and have bot heard anything back yet.

Called up USCIS again on Friday and they said they are still working on (although it seems SRs are to be decided on within 5 days. Thats why customer service folks told us).

If somebody is sending this letter, please do not send it without taking care of word-suggested corrections. There are too many green lines, most of the times because of spacing between two words.
OP - My intention is not to offend you but to point out the need for improvement in the document.
Don't worry! EB-3 is supposed to be low-skilled so nobody is going to frown at grammatical or typographical errors. :)

I'd say that some small-medium companies either in India or the 50-50 US bodyshops will happily ask the prospective-H1b to pay up Rs. 1,00,000 towards Schumer's fees :D
Anyways, most of these bodyshops in US collect H1b fees from the applicants in India, right ?
Infy, TCS, Satyam etc., will hire more janitors to bring their H1b/L1 % in US :D Or even buyout janitorial services companies :)

Don't forget the education is the biggest business in U.S.A and the immigration is the second one, thats what I learned from my 5 years experience. Both businesses dragging money from foreign ppl (International student has to pay 3-4 times more than local).

I think we are getting into an unnecessary discussion. My objective of this thread was to point out to our members that when we are discussing about immigration issues in the media we should also expose the mismanagement of the USCIS. They should not get away just by saying we were not prepared for this....

So I am guessing that there's no significant change in policy towards EB-2 from what appears in the memo. They are merely reiterating on what exists. Lets not sweat.

Does this now mean that for a non-advanced degree holder the qualification needed for EB2 is Bachelors+10 years of ex. ? If this is true it's really messed up for all the EB3's hoping to port to EB2 based on experience.

Please leave a comment on this thread, after you have mailed the letter & Form. It will motivate others to do the same. If you really want some justice, stand up and get counted by participating in this campaign. Else, Julu-Aug 07 filers, will keep waiting and will have to go through frustrating and agonizing wait for an uncertain period.

Not true. Anybody donates will get Donor status. This is started for last few days, so people who donated in last few days get this. Pappu mentioned that he is planning to cross reference this with old donations but not sure whats happening there.

My wife's DL renewal is pending for more than 2 months...When we contacted DMV they said its pending clearance from DHS (homeland security) and it could take take 120+ days to get their approval.
Has anybody encountered this recently?

Guys please enroll for recurring contributions. Its for our own good. Please dont sit under the misconception that since we applied for 485 and we get EAD we might be ok. you are not safe until you have the green card in your hand. durbin, grasley, ron hira are out there to get you, I wont be surprised if they come after EAD once they are done with H1. Please contribute to IV so that we can work on the next leg on the process, be it SKIL or visa number recapture or whatever comes but to do that IV needs money, please contribute so that we can build on the momentum. Junior members, news members you are the new blood please come forward and contribute. To existing members please think about increasing the recurring contribution amount.

Its been over a month and I haven't received my permanent license in mail. They keep giving temporary 20 day license asking me to wait. Anybody in NC who recently renewed license on EAD and still waiting to get the permanent license in hand?

Just dropped a check for $5. I hope all of the remaining members do the same.
Mailing a check is just as good as a bill pay.
For those who are unaware as to what the "Bill Pay" option is, basically the Bill pay option is a great way to take advantage of your bank cutting a cheque as opposed to you cutting a cheque. That way you can write cheques without having to:
1) Actually write out a cheque
2) Spend money to post it (and take the extra effort to mail the cheque out).
Keep the contributions flowing.
Mailing a check is just as good as a bill pay.

1. Threads concerned with the Action Items and Legislative matters should be separated from the usual GC related questionnaire
If you look at the website you find a bunch of new threads related to 485 filing. Most of them bear answers in previous threads. People dont want to search..but that okay..they can form new threads if they are very desperate for the answers.
But at the same time due to the flood of these messages we are missing important notices and action items like this one.If we separate them somehow it will be helpful.
2. Lets have an organized tracking of 485s. Lets separate them by Visa category , country, PD or RD.
ex: Eb3 country: India
PD 2001: RD:...? LUD: ...?
PD:2004:
EB3 : China...
...
..
Lets have an option of adding friends approx dates who are not immigration voice members. This way we can have rough estimate about what happening. Lets not make threads for each category.
This way may be we have a very good track of the visas than USCIS...heheheh:D
I guess most of the 1v members are s/w engineers...i am not...orelse i would have volunteered to do this...
Anybody here ...who can spare some of their valuable time???

One my friends got his wife's AP approved by scheduling an appointment with local InfoPass office. but you need a valid reason and proof for that. In his case he got his father in law's medical certificate from India.

When your friend went for INFOPASS, did he get a single copy of the AP, or two copies of the AP ?
I want to know if there is a difference between getting APs through mail or INFOPASS.
