My ead card production ordered. I efiled on April 27th.
Rediculous, the processing times say it takes 90 days minimum. Hopefully they will give the extension from my expiry date which is Aug 28th 2008.
As USCIS is saying they will issue 2 year ead starting Jun 30. certainly I will not get a 2 year EAD.
Yes, the new EAD will be issued with a start date of your current expiration date.....

I meant Papu..We have not yet heard from IV Core..I know funds may be an issue to do hard lobbying..can we use soft campigning like letter and Fax campign to turn attention to the legal issue..I thought it was time to pick up momentum now..

You have to renew your Donarship. Due to some probelm with IV Site, there is a problem.

Maybe the 60 Minutes story from a few months ago is making a difference. DHS finally agreed today to show some humanity and not proceed for two year with deporting widows and widowers of US citizens (often American soldiers who die in combat) who only were denied green cards because their spouses died before USCIS could finish processing their cases. The courts have not been consistent in their rulings and it is going to take the US Supreme Court settling the matter (or DHS backing down). Hopefully, this marks the end of USCIS' rabid pursuit of a population that deserves...

USCIS has announced that it is working on a rule to create an electronic registration system for H-1B employers subject to the annual cap. Employers would first register an application and be allocated an H-1B cap number and then would file the case. The idea is that employers would need to register to claim an H-1B cap number first and then if they are selected, they then would prepare and file the case. Hello ,
I recently changed my visa status from H4 to F1. I received my I-797 yestreday, and noticed that the I-94 attached with the I-797 has my birthdate printed wrong on it. I confirmed with my school, and they told me that there was a mistake in the I-539 application for change of status that I had filed, the birthdate was written wrong there. I also visited the local USCIS office and they told me they do not correct these errors and I need to send an application to the service center (california service center).
Please can anybody advice me as to what form do I have to fill, and how much time will this process take. I have got an oncampus job, in this case can I apply for a SSN with the I-797 with my birthdate mentioned wrong on I-94, my passport and my I-20 has the birthdate right. Also will there be any problem while my application to correct I94 is in process when I apply for my OPT since this is my Final semister in school

Hi,
My EAD got expired in July and I got the Denial Notice of the H1B petition last week. My lawyer thinks it's got rejected because of my salary change and address change. So she's going to file a new H1B petition on a nunc pro tunc basis. What is nunc pro tunc? Is my case eligible to file such a petition?
And if not, what other options do I have?
Please give me some advice, any advice you think might work. Thanks!

Hi All,
I am in EB3 with priority date of 2003 nov, I have a masters degree in US. Because of my negligence I applied in eb3. my i140 is cleared in eb3. waiting for priority date. Now I am planning to file eb2 perm and make us of the old priority date. Before joining for work I completed all the course work but didnt get the degree. I got the degree one year after I joined for work. My graduation date in the degree certificate is 5 months after my priority date. Will this raise red flags in the eb2 I-140 stage. Would it be safer for me to go for regular i-140 or premium processing. Any help or suggestion will be deeply appreciated.

Does anyone know how slow/fast/better is the Counsular Processing back in India if you ever become eligible to do that?

Don't go for it. It may be fast but you are working with too many variables that may go wrong. I went back home last year for CP and suddenly I became a victim of retrogression. I missed my cutoff date by two days. Then I had to wait for about 3 months to get my H1 stamp. I was lucky that I didn't lose my job here.

I got my 140 approved and my 6 yr H1 gets over in Jan 2010.
Could someone tell me whn is the earliest I can apply for my 3 yr extension??

All you have to do is...while in the preview and export editor click Fill Options in the output options box and then pick Mesh Gradiant shading from the fill style dropdown menu. That should solve the problem because it is probably rendering with cartoon average fill as default.

I applied for my EAD and AP extension on AUG 17 2009 and my EAD was expiring on AUG 29th 2009. While my wifes EAD and AP got approved, I had an RFE as I had not sent the recent photographs so I sent that and the receipt date for that was OCT 9 2009.
I continued working and got paid, after speaking to friends I realized, getting paid on a Expired EAD is not right.
I have taken a infopass to discuss this with USCIS to get an update.
One more point I wanted to make was that my payroll company doesn't know about this and doesn't care. But if I bring it up then .they might immediately terminate my employment.
How do I fix this? Please suggest.

Can people convert LC pending in BEC to PERM? If So, how safe it is and how much time it takes totally.
Yes, and its well known. Talk to or just visit Murthy or Immigrationportal and you will find lot of discussion on this topic. In a nutshell, as long the PERM application is identical to BEC pending application you can convert to PERM. Make sure to find an attorney familiar in such type of cases.
